EPOS LAVINA 2 is an improved version of the EPOS LAVINA device for guaranteed and fast data destruction on hard drives and other magnetic storage media. The device uses a physical method of destroying information on magnetic media using a powerful electromagnetic pulse. As a result of the impact of such a pulse, the magnetic working layer of the drive is completely magnetized, which leads to the complete destruction of all data and service information on the carrier.

This method is recommended by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) for the destruction (disposal) of confidential information from magnetic drives.
